What this site is

WhatWildlife is a directory of zoos, aquariums and wildlife attractions. It is free to read, carries no advertising, and sells nothing. We are not any of the venues listed, and we cannot sell you a ticket to one.

Accuracy

This directory is assembled from public sources and from venues' own websites. Opening hours and ticket prices go out of date, sometimes within days, and many venues here have neither on file at all. Always check with the venue before travelling. Nothing here is a guarantee that a venue is open, that a price is current, or that a venue exists.

Listings are not endorsements

A listing is not an endorsement. We record which associations accredit which venues because those associations publish that; we do not inspect venues, do not rate animal welfare, and do not exclude a venue for lacking accreditation. The absence of a badge means no association list named it, which is not a judgement.

Using this site

Read the site, link to it, quote it with attribution. Do not extract the directory in bulk or rebuild it elsewhere. The individual facts here come from sources with their own licences, which are named on every page; what we ask you not to take is the collection.

Links here point to sites we do not run and are not responsible for.

Changes, and reaching us

These terms change when the site does. There is no notification list; the current version is always the one on this page.
