Manage your listing
If you run a venue listed here, this is what we hold about it, where it came from, and what we will change if you ask.
We can tell you where every fact came from
Every fact on your venue's page is stored with the source it came from, the reference within that source, the licence it arrived under and the date we read it. So if something is wrong, we can usually tell you which source said it and when — and if the source has since been corrected, the fix reaches us on its own.
What we will change
Write to support@whatwildlife.com from an address at the venue's own domain if you can, and tell us what is wrong. We correct opening hours, ticket prices, the address, the website and the venue name.
If you want a photograph out of your venue's gallery, tell us and we will take it out. One caveat, and it is a real one: the gallery is rebuilt from Wikimedia Commons every time the data is refreshed, so a photograph we remove by hand can come back at the next rebuild. Tell us if it does and we will take it out again. A version of this that survives a rebuild is work we have not done yet.
Photographs here come from Wikimedia Commons under the licences their photographers chose. If you hold rights in one, notice and takedown is the route to use: a rights notice is not a gallery edit, and we do not republish material we have taken down under one.
No placement in this directory can be bought, and nothing on this site is sponsored. There is no upgrade, no featured tier and no advertising.
Coming off the site
If you would rather not be listed at all, say so and we will take the venue off the site. The record is not deleted — we keep it so the same listing cannot be rebuilt from the sources by accident — but the page stops existing and stays gone through every later rebuild.
What we will not do
We will not write promotional copy, rank your venue above another, or publish a claim we cannot source. A listing here is a record of what independent sources agree exists, not an endorsement and not a review.
