Wildpark Roggenhausen
Wildpark Roggenhausen and its collection
Wildpark Roggenhausen is a wildlife park in Eppenberg-Wöschnau, Switzerland.
History
Founded in 1903, the park is kept up by the city's citizens' corporation together with sponsor and member contributions. A former fire pond became the duck pond in 1931, and during the wartime cultivation drive part of the park land was given over to carrots, potatoes and cabbage. A wild boar enclosure opened in 1970 and an ibex enclosure in 1978, while the 2003 centenary brought viewing platforms at the deer and mouflon enclosures and a relaid nature trail from the car park.
