Rostock Zoo and its collection
Zoologischer Garten Rostock GmbH, opened in 1899, is a zoo in Rostock, Germany.
Fifty-six hectares of the Barnstorfer Wald hold about 6,500 animals of 500 species, making this the largest zoo on Germany's Baltic shore. The state tourism board's family-friendly quality mark has been awarded repeatedly. In 2020 Anthony Sheridan named it Europe's best zoo in the half-million-to-million visitor category, for the third year running.

Its exhibits include Darwineum, Tropenhalle, Polarium, Eiswelten and Meereswelten.
