Oceanium — Zoo & Aquarium in Rotterdam
Oceanium and its collection
Oceanium, opened in 2001, is a mixed in Rotterdam.
It stands in the zoo's extension zone alongside a new entrance and car park, and was the zoo's largest project up to that point. The surrounding grounds carry displays themed on the Americas, and scientific work on coral conservation is hosted here.
Animals and collection
Marine reptiles include green and hawksbill sea turtles, and there are also king and gentoo penguins, Galápagos tortoises and California sea lions. The sharks on show include nurse, sandbar, blacktip and blacknose.

Things to do include Blijdorp Express, ZOOmeravonden and Expeditie Blijdorp.
