History

A shark-themed exhibition ran first over the 1991 Easter holiday, with members of the aquarium society De Discus showing their own animals to the public, and the display then ran every Sunday afternoon. A zoo licence followed in 2003. In October 2007 word came that the society's quarters did not fit the nursing home's rebuilding plans.

Animals on show include haaien, piranha’s, zeesterren, anemoonvissen and discusvissen.

Exhibits

Its exhibits include paludarium, babykraamaquarium and haaienaquarium.
