Kasteelpark Born is a zoo in Born.

Native deer, sheep and goats are kept alongside rheas, alpacas, porcupines, carnivores and monkeys, and there is a walk-through aviary for parrot species. The park has held a zoo licence since 29 July 2003.

History

Fire destroyed the castle in 1930, and the present park was laid out around its site.

• Keep an eye out for scheduled feeding times, where caretakers share interesting facts and information about the different animal species.
• Situated right in the middle of the park is a large children's playground equipped with climbing structures, a sand area, and an air-trampoline, making it a great spot for kids to burn off energy.
• Kids can use microscopes and explore natural elements around specific discovery zones.
• The park hosts fun seasonal activities, such as family-friendly Halloween events
• there are plenty of designated picnic tables located near the playground and the raccoon enclosure where you can enjoy packed meals.
• Dogs are welcome in the park, provided they are kept on a short leash.
