Jaderpark and its collection

Jaderpark is a zoo in Jade, Germany.

Themed zones under development include a farm, an Okavango Delta area, Grizzly Adventure and Lütjes Moor. A listed riding hall on the site was converted into a play barn in 2005.

History

A smallholding on the site was turned into a tavern under the Kollmann family, and the Pundt family took on the inn during the Second World War. A private zoo opened there in 1950 but by the 1980s fell short of husbandry standards. The Ludewigt family of showmen bought it in November 1995 and relaunched it at Easter 1996 under a new concept.

• There are multiple accessible, wheelchair-friendly restrooms located strategically throughout the grounds
