Bratislava Zoo and its collection

Bratislava Zoo, opened in 1960, is a zoo in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The grounds cover 96 hectares at the foot of the Little Carpathians, mixing broadleaf woodland, meadow, a cool valley and natural pools. About 320,000 people visit each year. The stated mission is to link animals, people and nature through knowledge and positive experience, with a contribution to conservation through animal care standards, rescue programmes for endangered species and education.

Animals and collection

Animals on show include HADY, NOSOROŽEC TUPONOSÝ, ARA ZELENÁ, medveďa hnedého and paviána dželada (Theropithecus gelada).

Exhibits

Its exhibits include Exotária, Výbeh nosorožcov and voliéra ár zelených.

Things to do

Things to do include Guided feedings and meet-the-keeper sessions, Guided tours of the grounds, Zoo Clubs (kids' educational programme) and Children's playground.
