Zoologischer Garten Magdeburg, opened in 1950, is a zoo in Magdeburg, Germany.
History
Appetite for a local animal park grew after the Second World War, and the amateur ornithologist Alfred Hilprecht was a driving force in the founding phase. Largely volunteer labour built it, and it opened on 21 July 1950 with 50 mammals and 280 birds. The city council resolved on systematic expansion in 1957.

Animals on show include Spitzmaulnashorn, Sibirische Tiger and Nördliche Zwergmeerkatze.
Exhibits
Its exhibits include Africambo, Giraffenhaus, Schimpansenhaus, Mandrillhaus and Nashornhaus.
