Zoologischer Garten Hof and its collection
Zoologischer Garten Hof is a zoo in Hof, Germany.
It sits in the north-east of the town next to the Bürgerpark Theresienstein, near the botanical garden, the Luitpoldhain and the cemetery, and receives about 80,000 visitors a year.
History
It began in 1954 as an aquarium display mounted by a local aquarium and terrarium society, later widened into a small-animal zoo. The grounds were overhauled for the regional garden show of 1994, turning the site into a zoological garden. After the death of Janusz Gutkowski, director for 30 years, Eugen Fischer took interim charge in 2017 pending the induction of his successor.

Animals on show include Kakadus, Zebrafinken and Coburger Füchsen.
