Inselzoo Altenburg and its collection
Inselzoo Altenburg is a zoo in Altenburg, Germany.
The zoo occupies an island in the Großer Teich at the southern edge of the old town, reached by a permanent bridge. In a viewer poll run by MDR in early 2008 it was named the prettiest zoo in the state and placed fourth across central Germany, behind Görlitz, Leipzig and Weißenfels.
