ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park and its collection
ZooAmerica is a zoo in Hershey, United States.
Milton S. Hershey started it in 1910 with bears, birds and deer. It now covers 11 acres and holds over 75 species and 200 animals, some of them rare or endangered. It remains under the private control of the Hershey Trust Company and is joined to Hersheypark.
Animals and collection
Animals on show include River Otters, Gray Wolves, Black Bears, Green Iguana and Striped Skunk.
Exhibits
The route opens with Southern Swamps, which covers marshy semi-tropical species. Great Southwest takes in nocturnal animals, armadillos and an open bird sanctuary. The final section, Northlands, covers species from Newfoundland through Canada to Alaska.

Things to do include Behind-the-Scenes Tours, Early Bird Tour, After Hours Tour, Animal Feedings and Falconry Experience.
Conservation and approach
It takes part in Species Survival Plan work, breeding thick-billed parrots, Canada lynx, black-footed ferrets and ocelots, with swift fox previously held under the same scheme. It had a substantial part in the recovery of golden eagle and peregrine falcon populations.
