Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo is a zoo in Thurmont, United States.
The site has stayed in the ownership of the Hahns, who have enlarged it over time.
History
Animals have been shown on the spot since 1933, when it was called Jungleland Snake Farm. Gordon Gaver ran the roughly 5-acre attraction until his death in 1964, and Richard and Mary Anne Hahn bought it and reopened it in 1966.
Exhibits
The Eurasia section holds Amur leopard, meerkat, green anaconda, reticulated python and red-crowned crane. Safari trucks take visitors through woodland where large herbivores can be fed and touched.
