Zoo Vivarium Darmstadt, opened in 1956, is a zoo in Darmstadt, Germany.
History
A school vivarium opened in July 1956 on municipal nursery land in the Orangeriegarten. A replacement building at the present location, to plans by the engineer Rolf Prange, opened in August 1965.
What the venue says

- Located right at the zoo (with an independent entrance accessible to non-zoo visitors as well), this idyllic beer garden and café serves hot meals, snacks, and beverages (typically operating from morning until late afternoon/early evening depending on the season).
- There is a small parking lot directly at the Vivarium.
- The paths and facilities throughout the grounds are largely flat and barrier-free, making them very easy to navigate with strollers, wheelchairs, and rollators.
- Wheelchairs and children's pull-carts ( _Bollerwagen_ ) can be rented directly at the zoo shop for a small fee (€3.00 rental plus a €20.00 deposit).
