Tropiquaria and its collection
Tropiquaria, opened in 1990, is a zoo in Watchet, United Kingdom.
The attraction started in 1989 at Washford Cross, 16 miles from Taunton and nine from Minehead. It occupies the 1930s art deco transmitter hall of the BBC's Washford station, Grade II listed since 1984. Most of the old hall had become surplus to the BBC in 1981, once smaller equipment moved to a new building behind.
