Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park — Zoo in North Devon District Council
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and its collection
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, opened in 1986, is a zoo in Berrynarbor, United Kingdom.
Live animals, among them meerkats and lemurs, are kept alongside animatronic dinosaurs.
History
The park occupies the grounds of Higher Leigh, a house built on the Lee Barton estate in 1851 to designs by Henry Keene Bowden. One family held it for nearly a hundred years before it passed to four Sacred Heart nuns from Honor Oak. They ran it as a convent housing children evacuated in the Second World War, and some local children were taught there as well.
Exhibits
Its exhibits include Dinosaurus Playzone and Wild Play Area.
Things to do
Things to do include underwater walk-through tunnel, Dino Express Train Ride, animatronic dinosaurs and Animal Experiences.
