Tierwelt Herberstein – Steirischer Landestiergarten GmbH is a zoo in Stubenberg, Austria.

History

Wild animals have been kept on the estate since the seventeenth century, when fallow deer were first held in Austria. In the late 1960s the grounds were converted into an animal park presenting the fauna of five continents, and the castle itself was opened to the public at the same time.

Animals on show include Afrikanischer Löwe, Gepard, Mandrill, Streifengnu and Brillenbär.

Its exhibits include Streichelzoo, Feistritzklamm, Vogelvoliere, Haus der Biodiversität and Simbawelt.
