Tierpark Arche Warder and its collection
Tierpark Arche Warder is a zoo in Warder, Germany.
The park occupies a worked-out gravel pit of 40 hectares in a Holstein village, bought for the keeping of rare domestic breeds.
History
The zoologist Jürgen Güntherschulze began caring for rare domestic breeds privately in 1988. The park formally opened in May 1991 as a home for rare and endangered domestic breeds, and by the end of 1993 it kept about 1000 animals of 130 breeds. That predecessor went bankrupt in 2002; the present operating association, a centre for old domestic and farm breeds, was set up in 2003 with help from Greenpeace during the takeover, and the site reopened in May 2004.

Its exhibits include Tierschauhaus, Streichelhof, Geflügelfarm and jungsteinzeitliche Siedlung.
