Tiergarten Ulm — Zoo in Ulm
Tiergarten Ulm and its collection
Tiergarten Ulm is a zoo in Ulm, Germany.
History
A small animal park was founded in 1935 in the Friedrichsau, building on a monkey pen put up in a shed in 1927 and on aviaries for pheasants and other birds. An aquarium house, aviaries, a deer ditch and a bear pen were finished when it opened, but the park shut in 1944 amid the war. In 1954 a local aquarium and terrarium society, since dissolved, set up a small display in the old bird house.
