Zoologischer Garten Augsburg GmbH is a zoo in Augsburg, Germany.

The zoo opened in June 1937 as the Park der deutschen Tierwelt, and exotic animals were added to the former Augsburger Tiergarten after the Second World War. It draws more than 650,000 visitors a year, which makes it the most-visited cultural institution in Swabia and one of the 20 largest animal parks in Germany. It lies on the northern edge of the Siebentischwald, which also serves as a water protection zone for the city's drinking water.

Exhibits

The Löwenhaus holds lions, striped hyenas and fennec foxes. The Tigerhaus holds Sumatran tigers and Sri Lankan leopards, together with a small nocturnal section. An enclosure built by the Freundeskreis in 2003 has housed Malay owls since 2024.

Conservation and approach

A Naturschutzfonds was set up in 2009 for species held at the zoo or with a local connection to Augsburg. Part of the admission price goes to the fund, at 10 cents per single ticket and 25 cents per annual ticket.
