Haustierhof Reutemühle and its collection

Haustierhof Reutemühle is a zoo in Überlingen, Germany.

The operator counts more than 200 animal species on show, and the collection is listed in Guinness World Records as the largest holding of dying-out breeds. Stock is mainly livestock, with horses, goats, sheep, poultry and pigs, alongside exotic additions including camels, otters, coatis, marmosets, skunks, maras, wallabies, coypu and meerkats.

History

The mill site appears in documents from 1280 and worked for centuries grinding grain and oil. From about 1900 it milled grain and ran a farm as a sideline. The animal park opened in 1994 and has kept growing since.

Animals on show include Alpakas, Kängurus, Erdmännchen and Affen.

Parkmöglichkeit: Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Zum ein- und aussteigen kann direkt im Eingangsbereich gehalten werden.
Rundweg: Unser Gelände ist barrierefrei zugänglich. Die Wege sind entweder gepflastert oder in der Regel gut befestigt.
Gaststätte: Die Kellerschenke ist ebenerdig und kann problemlos befahren werden.
Toiletten: Es gibt eine behindertengerechte Toiletten in der Kellerschenke, die sich unmittelbar am Eingang befindet.

The farm is generally open daily from April through October, typically from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (with final entry around 6:00 PM). From November through March, it is open daily from 10:00 AM until dusk, weather permitting (on ice- and snow-free days).
