Mississippi Aquarium and its collection

Mississippi Aquarium is an aquarium in Gulfport, United States.

The aquarium occupies a 5.8-acre site mixing indoor and outdoor habitats, with more than 200 animal species and 50 species of native plant. Construction was paid for through a mix of federal, state, local and private money.

Animals and collection

Animals on show include American Alligators, North American Beavers, North American River Otters, Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins and paddlefish.

Exhibits

Three sails mark the entrance and are carried over into the logo. The walkways are planted with native species drawn from seven of the state's physiographic regions.

Things to do

Things to do include Touch Pool, Dolphin Encounter, Penguin Encounter and SeaTREK® Diving Experience.
