Cape May County Park Zoo and its collection

Cape May County Park Zoo, opened in 1978, is a zoo in Cape May Court House, United States.

The address is 707 U.S. Route 9 North, inside the county's Central Park, and zoo and park together take in roughly 220 acres. The chief areas are a 57-acre African Savanna, a walk-through aviary and reptiles.

History

Land given in 1942 became Park Central, which later grew to 200 acres, and a county park commission was set up in 1967. The zoo was created inside Park Central in 1978. Heavy snow during the blizzard of 5–6 February 2010 wrecked the bald eagle enclosure.
