Buffalo Zoo and its collection
Buffalo Zoo, opened in 1875, is a zoo in Buffalo, United States.
The zoo sits on 23.5 acres of Delaware Park, where over 320 plant species are grown, and it operates all year. It draws about 400,000 people annually, making it the region's second biggest draw after Niagara Falls.
History
Its origins lie with the furrier Jacob E. Bergtold, who gave the city a pair of deer. The newspaper publisher Elam R. Jewett then offered his estate as grazing ground for them.

- Designed with inclusivity in mind, the grounds feature step-free entrances, spacious and smooth pathways suitable for wheelchairs, and accessible restrooms.
