Miller Park Zoo and its collection

Miller Park Zoo is a zoo in Bloomington, United States.

Run by the city's parks and recreation department, it ranks as the 13th oldest zoo in the country.

History

City funds first went towards animal care in the park in 1891, and the zoo traces its start to a circus lion cub that wound up in someone's hands.
