Aquarium de La Rochelle, opened in 1988, is an aquarium in La Rochelle, France.
Facing the old harbour in Charente-Maritime, it displays 12,000 marine animals of 600 species in 82 tanks. It describes itself as a centre for the study and preservation of marine species.
Animals and collection
Animals on show include Bar Dicentrarchus labrax, Grande roussette Scyliorhinus stellaris and Maigre Argyrosomus regius.
Exhibits
Its exhibits include Océan Atlantique, Mer Méditerranée, Méduses et Océanique, Mer des Caraïbes and Région Indo-Pacifique.
