Toruń Zoobotanical Garden and its collection
Toruń Zoobotanical Garden, opened in 1965, is a zoo in Toruń, Poland.
History
The garden grew out of the dendrological garden of Johann Gottlieb Schultz. He gathered plants from across Europe and added avenues, bridges, sluices, arbours, a manor, an aviary and a sundial. His will passed the garden to the royal gymnasium in 1827 for teaching use.
Animals and collection
Animals on show include Kameleon jemeński, Leniuchowiec dwupalczasty, Puchacz wirginijski, Olśniak himalajski and Surykatka.
Exhibits
Its exhibits include Mini Folwark, PTASZARNI and Galeria Sztuki Przyrodniczej.
Things to do
Things to do include Playground and Educational gazebo.
