Indian River Reptile Zoo
Indian River Reptile Zoo and its collection
Indian River Reptile Zoo is a zoo in Asphodel-Norwood, Canada.
Describing itself as the largest not-for-profit reptile collection in Canada, it holds more than 200 native and exotic reptiles. In 2021 it took the name Canada's Dinosaur Park, dropping its earlier reptile-and-dinosaur title.
Animals and collection
Animals on show include Alligators, Crocodiles, Snakes, Turtles and Lizards.
Exhibits
More than 100 full-size dinosaur and prehistoric models, most of them animatronic, are set out across the grounds. A drive-through route was added alongside the walking route in 2020, and there is also a Stonehenge-themed mini golf course.
Things to do
Things to do include Mini-Golf, Rent-A-Dinosaur and Bone Dig.
Conservation and approach
Conservation programmes are run on site, together with keeper-led public education sessions about reptiles.
