Fonghuanggu Bird and Ecology Park and its collection
Fonghuanggu Bird and Ecology Park, opened in 1982, is a zoo in 鹿谷鄉, Taiwan.
History
The provincial government resolved in 1978 to build a bird park within the Fonghuanggu scenic area. In April 1979 a consultative council approved the formation of a planning committee to survey possible sites and gather data.
Exhibits
Sections are given over to cranes, pheasants, raptors, peacocks, flightless birds and endemic species, alongside a rainforest area. More than 100 rare bird species are held in all.
