Tula Exotarium and its collection

Tula Exotarium, opened in 1987, is a zoo in Тула, Russia.

Founded on 27 September 1987, it now holds one of the largest snake collections anywhere, at 497 species and subspecies, and ranks eighth for total species among the zoos of Russia and neighbouring states. About 80,000 people visit each year. A second display, on tropical forest life, opened on 8 December 2018.

Animals and collection

Animals on show include длинноносый кустарниковый полоз (ринхофис Буланже), Фенек, Карликовая игрунка, Обыкновенная сипуха and Жемчужная ящерица.

Exhibits

Its exhibits include Азиатские древесные змеи, Азиатские наземные змеи, Королевские молочные змеи, Маисовые полозы and Палеарктические полозы.

Things to do

Things to do include Overview guided tour, Interactive tour, Children's tour "Zoo in a Suitcase" and Tour "The Zoo Through the Director's Eyes".
