Sea Life London Aquarium, opened in 2026, is an aquarium in London, United Kingdom.

Attendance passed a million a year as of 2025. The aquarium is grouped with the London Eye, the London Dungeon and Shrek's Adventure.

History

It opened in 1997, was bought by Merlin Entertainments in April 2008 for a price that was never disclosed, and joined the Sea Life chain in 2009. In 2005 it showed three robot fish built by computer scientists at the University of Essex, machines intended to swim unaided and avoid obstacles.

Animals and collection

Animals on show include Gentoo Penguin, sharks, sea turtles, seahorses and jellyfish.

Its exhibits include Coral Kingdom, Ocean Invaders, Rainforest Adventure, Polar Adventure and Open Oceans.

Things to do

Things to do include Aquarium Tunnel, Snorkel with Sharks, Meet the Turtles, Behind the Scenes and Virtual Reality Experience.

Conservation and approach

Breeding work covers Cuban crocodile, seahorses, butterfly goodeids and jellyfish, and conservation partners include the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society and the Shark Trust. Two classrooms tied to those campaigns take as many as 40,000 pupils a year.
