Riverside Park and Zoo

Riverside Park and Zoo and its collection

Riverside Park and Zoo is a zoo in Scottsbluff, United States.

The city park holds the only zoo in the western part of the state, with over 125 animals from more than 50 species. It lies half a mile west of Nebraska Highway 71. The wider grounds hold three lakes with camping and a recreation ground, a trail beside the North Platte and over 30 garden plots.

Animals and collection

Two brother grizzly bears went on show on 16 December 2017, poachers having killed their mother in Wyoming that spring.

Exhibits

Exhibit areas cover North American grassland bison, a Garden Walk of tortoises and macaws, the Slither Inn reptile rooms, Raptor Row, a rainforest area and a chimpanzee building.
