NaturoSpace — Wildlife Attraction in Honfleur

NaturoSpace and its collection

NaturoSpace is a butterfly house in Honfleur, France.

A tropical greenhouse of 1,000 m² is held steady at 20-25 °C. It contains around 15,000 butterflies of 150 species, together with some 15 bird species and fish. The season runs from February to November, and roughly 100,000 people visit each year.

History

The founder, Benoît Damico, who traded in chrysalises, acquired a greenhouse after the death of one of his suppliers, and the town's mayor offered him the present site. It opened in 1999. Bird species that do not eat insects were introduced in 2008.
