Mendoza Zoological Park and its collection
Mendoza Zoological Park, opened in 1941, is a zoo in Mendoza, Argentina.
The zoo lies on the north-west slope of the Cerro de la Gloria within Parque General San Martín. It covers 48 hectares and holds about 1,100 animals.
History
It was created in 1903 as part of Carlos Thays's landscape scheme for the surrounding park. Building started the following year under the governor Emilio Civit.
