Oceanário de Lisboa and its collection
Oceanário de Lisboa, opened in 1998, is an aquarium in Lisboa, Portugal.
It opened in May 1998 as part of the Expo 98 world's fair, built on the site of the former Cabo Ruivo seaplane harbour, and ranks as the second-largest facility of its kind on the Iberian Peninsula. The complex covers 20,000 square metres and holds roughly 7.5 million litres of water across more than thirty tanks, housing around 8,000 animals from 500 species, spanning birds and mammals alongside fish and other marine life. At its centre sits a five-million-litre tank built around a Global Ocean theme, holding sharks, barracudas, rays and tuna, surrounded by four smaller habitats representing the North Atlantic, Antarctic, temperate Pacific and tropical Indian Ocean.

Animals on show include Enguia-de-jardim-pintada, Napoleão, Peixe-palhaço, Tubarão-corre-costa and Lontra-marinha.
