Lahore Zoo Safari is a zoo in Lahore, Pakistan.

History

It was set up in 1981 as the state-funded Woodland Wildlife Park, covering 242 acres, and was transferred in 1998 from the Forest Department to the Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department.

Exhibits

The walkthrough aviary, built and opened to visitors in 2004, is the largest in the country. Boating and fishing have been laid on beside the lake, which is the city's largest and has four islands. Species kept include African lion, Bengal tiger, nilgai, ostrich, emu and mute swan.
