Kotka Maretarium and its collection

Kotka Maretarium is an aquarium in Kotka, Finland.

Devoted to Finnish fish and inland waters, it shows roughly 60 native resident fish species. It was created jointly by the city, the University of Helsinki and the game and fisheries research institute, and has rooms for researchers and a nature school alongside the tanks. The building also holds a sea theatre, the Merisydän café and a souvenir shop.
