Butterfly Creek and its collection
Butterfly Creek, opened in 2003, is a zoo in Auckland, New Zealand.
The site covers roughly eight acres and started as a walk-through butterfly garden, which remains the main draw. There is also a farm section, shortfin eels and tropical marine and freshwater tanks.
History
It opened in 2003, built around exotic species and a butterfly garden.
Animals and collection
Two saltwater crocodiles, Goldie and Scar, are the only ones of their species in the country, and a kiwi house holds North Island brown kiwi with occasional wētā displays. Exotic mammals include cotton-top and emperor tamarins, meerkats, small-clawed otters and a crested porcupine.
Exhibits
Its exhibits include Kiwi Forest, Buttermilk Farm, Dinosaur Kingdom and Aquarium.

Things to do include Private Animal Encounters, Junior Keeper and otter encounter.
